Unlike other products that fit like a mouthpiece, FX Fangs are veneer style fake teeth products that cover only the front of your teeth. The thin veneer design keeps your speech natural. FX Fangs are made from a bio-compatible plastic and they're designed and created for hyper-realistim. Because of the hand-made nature of the products, no two sets are the same- just like real teeth. The teeth look REAL!. Each set is stained by hand. No two sets are the same, just like real teeth!
Please read before purchasing. Products that go into the mouth are not returnable.
-FX Fangs are constructed using a thin, semi-flexible material. It is ideal to use warm water to soften the veneer to adjust the fit for your individual arch size, but in a pinch, you can warm them up using body temperature through your hands and breath. You will however, need a source of hot water to properly soften the fitting plastic.
-FX Fangs are fake teeth 'veneer' style special effect dental prosthetics that cover only the front of your teeth. FX Fangs are made using the highest qulaity dental materials and designed to be ultra-realistic.
-The fitting processs takes maybe 20-30 minutes and only needs to be completed once to obtain a fit that will last all season.
-Each set comes with enough fitting plastic for a complete fit and photographic instructions.
HOW DO FX FANGS FIT?
Step 1 – Heat up a cup of warm water until it is about 140F (60C). Place the veneer shell into the hot water for 30 seconds. Remove with utensil.
Step 2 – Adjust the veneer by gently bending it over your teeth, pushing and holding it into place. Wait for 30 seconds then remove and set aside.
Step 3 – Take a cup of hot water (160-175F) and pour some of the fitting pellets into the hot water. Use 2/3 of the packet for an upper and 1/3 for a lower. When the pellets are clear you can remove the softened material with a metal spoon (don't use plasticware).
Step 4 – Roll the softened material into a snake shape about 2" long and 1/4" thick and place the softened material onto the back of the veneer teeth. IMPORTANT: You want to place the material low on the appliance where your teeth are going to be.
Step 5 – Make sure to push some of the material into each of the two small holes on each side of the appliance.
Step 6 – Working quickly, place the veneer teeth in an upward motion (use a downward motion for lowers).
NOTE: With uppers, you want to push any excess fitting plastic down behind the upper teeth and for lowers, push it up over the back. It's a good idea to let a little of the extra fitting plastic 'ooze' into the area where your gums are, but you want most of the excess fitting material to get pushed behind the teeth to form a retainer.
Step 7 – Hold in place for 45 seconds, then gently pry the appliance loose from the teeth and then re-seat to break any undercuts. Hold 90 seconds more then carefully remove the veneer teeth from the mouth.
Step 8 - Let cool completely before trimming.
Step 9 - Trim with an exacto knife with a sharp blade (you can also use small scissors or nail clippers). The idea is to trim away as much plastic behind the teeth as you can without compromising a snug fit.
TO CLEAN: Before storage, clean your appliance well with 70% alcohol and a soft brush. You can also use a mixture of 20% bleach and 80% water. This will kill any bacteria that has built up on the appliance during use. DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE. Make sure to rinse well in warm water before usage. Store in a cool, dry place.
